U say you haven't done research, but i think you really should as its all so easily available online, youtube etc. I think what you should aim towards is getting a software with the easiest learning curve. Live, Logic, Reason all offer the same things I mentioned Reason because at this stage it will keep you away from the world of 3rd party plug-ins and marketing hype which will continuously try to convince u to keep buying stuff.
Reason is easy to use, offers all the tools and features you will require for music creation and sounds really good too. I, myself use Logic and Live and have done so for years. But my suggestion to you is to try Reason 6.
